GAC WORLD PREMIERES “JAKE ON THE LAKE” TONIGHT AT 9PM ET
Nashville, TN – RCA recording artist Jake Owen released his third studio album, Barefoot Blue Jean Night, on Monday and currently it holds the No. 1 position on iTunes’ Country Albums chart. The digital single has received over 850,000 downloads to date.
The title track is the lead single from the album and this week, it jumps to No. 2 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart and Country Aircheck.
Jake is very anxious to hear what his fans think about the new music. Yesterday he sent this Tweet: “Ok…First 10 peeps to respond that bought my record, I'll follow you. You can send me your phone #. I wanna call you and see what songs u dig.”
Every spare minute Jake has, he is calling his Twitter followers to personally thank them for buying Barefoot Blue Jean Night and to get their feedback on which songs they like.
Last night, Jake celebrated his album release by performing for a sold-out crowd at The Headliner club in Neptune, NJ and today, he is in New York City promoting the new album.
Tonight, GAC world premieres a 30-minute special entitled “Jake on the Lake.” The show captures the true essence of who Jake Owen is and takes an in-depth look at his new album. Included in the special are intimate acoustic performances of five songs from the album, tour highlights with Keith Urban, plus some amazing wake-boarding and wake-surfing tips & tricks from Jake.
Tomorrow night, Jake will be part of Access Hollywood’s “Country Hunks” feature, check your local listings.
On September 6, Jake and The Band Perry and will announce the final nominees in five CMA Awards categories live from the "Good Morning America" studios in the heart of New York City's Times Square on the ABC Television Network. The announcement will air in the 8:30 AM/ET half-hour segment of the morning news program. During the broadcast, Jake will perform his summertime anthem "Barefoot Blue Jean Night."
