JAKE OWEN’S SUMMER ANTHEM “BAREFOOT BLUE JEAN NIGHT” IS DIGITALLY CERTIFIED GOLD
Nashville, TN – Jake Owen’s hit single, “Barefoot Blue Jean Night,” has been digitally certified gold by the RIAA with over 550K downloads (photo attached.) The summer anthem is also currently No. 4 on iTunes digital country songs chart.
“Barefoot Blue Jean Night” is the fastest rising single of Jake’s career. The song is Top 10 this week, holding the No. 9 position on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart and Country Aircheck.
“I’m from Florida and I ran around barefoot my whole life,” reflects Jake. “I think when people hear me sing ‘Barefoot Blue Jean Night,’ they believe me. This song pinpoints my life right now. I think all music fans crave authenticity and this song is as realistic as it gets.”
In addition, the music video for “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” debuted on VEVO just four weeks ago and it is rapidly approaching 2 million views.
“Barefoot Blue Jean Night” is the title track and first single from Jake’s forthcoming third studio album, produced by Joey Moi (Nickelback) and Rodney Clawson (co-writer of such hits as “I Saw God Today,” “Lost in This Moment”), as well as GRAMMY® award-winning producer Tony Brown.
Jake is the special guest on the U.S. leg of Keith Urban’s “Get Closer 2011 World Tour,” with stops this weekend in Washington, DC (July 28), Toledo, OH (July, 29) and Ft. Wayne, IN (July, 31).

I'm remembering a moment at your 2011 CMAFEST fan club party when the music softened and you talked to the small gathering of people (400+) and I got to be right in front (requested Help me Help You...and you said 'ya..let's play it ...thanks). As you spoke I think you got a little frog in your throat taking it all in...I'm sure it will keep on getting better as the years go by. You have great friends, a great band, great family (your mom took a pic of us on the side stage watching miranda lambert in Melbourne beach, FL (Thanks !) .
