LEE ANN WOMACK TO HOST EVENING OF MUSICAL PERFORMANCES RECOGNIZING SPECIAL HONOREES FROM
THE 45TH ANNUAL ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS
ENCINO, CA (September 1, 2010) – The Academy of Country Music is announcing that tickets go on sale to the public TODAY for the 4th Annual ACM HONORS, an evening dedicated to recognizing the special honorees and off-camera category winners from the 45th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards. The evening of musical tributes will take place on Monday, September 20, 2010 at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN and will be hosted by five-time ACM Award winner, LEE ANN WOMACK.
This is the first time in the event’s history that tickets have been made available to country fans. Tickets go on sale to the general public today, September 1, 2010 at Ticketmaster.com and cost $37 each.
In addition to award presentations, the special evening will include video tributes and musical performances by an all-star lineup. Those being honored include Special Award recipients Rod Essig, Marty Robbins, Don Schlitz, Mel Tillis, Keith Urban, Cindy Walker and the film Crazy Heart along with winners of the MBI (Musician, Bandleader, Instrumentalist) and Industry categories, which are not presented during the live telecast of the Academy of Country Music Awards.
Artists appearing include: Kix Brooks, Buxton Hughes, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Larry & Steve Gatlin with Ronny Robbins, Kris Kristofferson, Martina McBride, Kenny Rogers, Marty Stuart & The Fabulous Superlatives, Randy Travis, Lee Ann Womack and more to be announced.
